Wednesday, December 9, 2020
4 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Workshop Description: Preventative PHC focuses on working with urban trees and soils to reduce inciting factors to poor health such as compacted soils or soils lacking in organic matter. Poor growing conditions result in secondary issues that commonly require pesticides to manage, such as two-lined chestnut borer, bronze birch borer, armillaria root rot, and many other issues. With proper preventative care we can limit the amount of pesticides used to manage urban and suburban trees.
